Launch Day!


LAUNCH DAY!

What a BIG day! 

I have never touched a piece of code in my life and always looked at it like something that only scientists use. However during this Lockdown with the Pandemic, I started really feeling depressed. I was struggling mentally living in a small, one bedroom apartment with no family or pets within a 300 mile radius. 

I really wanted to express how I felt, and that's when the idea came up. Game Development. 

"But I'm not nearly good enough to be able to do that" - The thoughts crawled up. 

So I started small, made a simple, but polished game. It was a simple ball bouncing up on little bricks sorta game. Slowly I learnt more and started learning pixel art and drawing sprites to increase my arsenal. 

As the weeks went by, building and working on this project actually made me feel a lot better as I was able to output all the emotion stuck inside of my head. Having visited the doctor multiple times just to be given some strange drug to "Help" me feel better, I soon realised those pills do not help at all and just made me feel worse. 

After 142 Hours (And counting) of hard work and late nights, I'm proud to finally launch my first ever game. It will come with it's flaws and people will hate aspects of it, which is fine. I encourage it, because the next instalment will be even better.
